On Integrity

I compared the integrity to a person. He is Secretary of the Interior and Local Government.  Sec. Jesse Robredo, he had a simple life, even his high position in the government and not steal coffers to be used for wealthy.

He asks no special treatment from his hosts.  He sleeps his way on a slow boat to Siasi in Sulu, takes a shower in dirty bathrooms, eats in turo-turo, lodges in cheap hotels, and takes buses instead of cars.  I know because he has shamed us so many times by saying yes to all difficulties, and going to places, where we were afraid to go.

Sec. Jesse Robredo became a legend.  He was proclaimed “Dangal ng Bayan”, Outstanding Young Man, and Ramon Magsaysay awardee for Government Service in 2000.  In all humility, he knelt down and prayed.  The voice spoke in his heart again.  “Now, you must be a leader for others, showing them how to serve their kingdoms well.”  In disbelief, he asked, “But I have no wealth.  I have no magic that can turn mice into horses and pumpkins into a coach”.  The voice replied “You have more than enough, because you have credibility and goodwill.  Go and multiply.”

Integrity is a very clear line, it’s either you have it or you don’t. It’s not hard to achieve if we have faith in God and been a good follower no matter where we are or what we do. This ethical virtue echoes and can transform others to have hope and to do good deeds by being an example to others. Holding what is the truth, performing what is righteous and having faith among men…

On Cogent Moral Reasoning

Cogent moral reasoning: Comprehending, clarifying, and assessing arguments on opposing sides of moral issues

My thoughts…..

Sometimes, there are things that we cannot control not to happen but whatever we do in our lives, we must always try to evaluate them, we have to at least listen to different sides so we can assess our actions or reactions. A lot these problems rooted from young marriages, sometimes financial problems and I guess, a marriage without God as the center of their relationship. In our family will not lose conflict and misunderstanding of each other, there are also problems that enters our family, no matter how big the problems that we face together we can fight it. Passed the problems in my family God is always on my side, God support me and give strengthenmy heart to fight our problems. So in my family, we allow God in our lives and we always thanked him for all his blessings he has showered us even the heartaches for it made us a stonger and happy family.

On Moral Coherence

No to Mining in Palawan

Palawan is composed of a long main island lying in a northeast to southwest axis and surrounding it are clusters of lesser islands. The main island has a tall steep mountain spine running down its length fringed by narrow coastal plans protected from storm waves by fringing coral reefs and mangrove swamps. Although seemingly lush and bountiful, the environment of Palawan is fragile and its topsoils are relatively thin, poor and prone to erosion.

The company’s road is already causing serious environmental damage such as landslides, soil erosion and deforestation of the watersheds. Under a provincial government initiative, many thousands of hectares of oil palm and other agro-fuels have been planted in Palawan. This is having a devastating impact on the biodiversity of the region and is limiting people’s access to customary natural resources. The Palawan have not been properly consulted about either the mining projects or the oil palm plantations. The Philippine government is also delaying the implementation of the country’s Indigenous People’s Rights Act (IPRA), which provides for the identification, delineation and recognition of indigenous land. The mining projects on Palawan Island clearly violate this and other Philippine laws.

Last 3 February 2011, the Save Palawan Movement, a multi-sectoral coalition of concerned environmental groups, launched the “No to Mining in Palawan” signature campaign. The group hopes to put an end to mining activities in the place it calls the “Philippines' Last Ecological Frontier.”

On Tolerance of Diversity

Computer VS Smart Phones. What is their difference?

At that time many new technologies appearing and makes day-to-day living. The new technology coming out now helps our work.

One of the new technology today is the Computer and Smart Phones. The two innovative technology is much difference. First the Computer, the computer is a new technology that helps us to facilitate our work.
Computer have a computing processors typically require greater amounts of power and cooling. Computers are equipped to provide these requirements for processors, thus being able to feature higher computing power overall. Desktop computers are not considered to be portable. They are not easy to move around. Laptop computers are considered portable, being more lightweight and easy to place in a backpack, but laptops with larger screens can become bulky and more difficult to carry around, weighing up to seven or eight pound. Computers come with a more fully featured operating system due to having the computing power and memory requirements. Both desktop and laptop computers can run a fully featured version of an operating system with the option to choose your operating system on PCs.

The Smart Phones is a kind of small device that can be carry anytime anywhere, smart phone has own operating system with more advance with more advanced computing capability and connectivity than a old phones.Smartphones are more compact and do not have the capability of providing the amount of power and cooling that more powerful processors require. They are limited to lower voltage processors, although processors of this type are becoming more advanced and powerful.Smartphones, while a bit bigger than a standard cell phone, are still more portable than any computer. They are very lightweight and can fit in a purse or pants pocket with ease. They are designed to be taken everywhere with you, thus the very definition of portable.Tablets come with a more slimmed down operating system due to having more limited computing power and memory. The Android OS and Apple iOS are adequate operating systems for tablet users, but not the fully featured operating system found in a computer. Even the Windows operating system found on select smartphones is a slimmed down version of that found on a computer.

On Moral Awareness

illegal logging in the Philippines

Did you know what is illegal logging?

Illegal logging is harvesting the trees in the forest without the permission from the government, Illegal logging is the big problem in the world, it cause the enormous damage in the forest  causes loss of biodiversity and undermines the rule of law. These illegal activities undermine responsible forest management, encourage corruption and tax evasion and reduce the income of the producer countries, further limiting the resources producer countries can invest in sustainable development. Do we know what's happening in our forest?

Our forest is damage in illegal logging that can cause the the root cause of illegal logging is the need of easy money that' why they cut down trees without thinking of the bad consequences in return...then comes the effects afterward...rain, flood, erosion, destruction of the water shed and the disaster that will kill so many people and destroy properties as well.

Our forests are damaged due to incessant cutting trees illegally sold  out of our country . The cutting of the trees in our forests have great impact on people . Every time a storm waving our country strong rain pours into us and it will fall into the forest absorbed again by the tree. But now no trees absorb rain water falling in the forest cause of the landslide and flood that kill  many people. On Moral Imagination

So I took the course Computer Science so I can be a great programmer, I also dream to build my own game that I can control, sometimes I think those games that want to do those games for which you anyone, young or old, male or female. With my imagination I shaping those games that I want to do When I graduated from the course I took. I also help people to play the game I made.

Every person gives different abilities from God. One of these is the imagination, the use of imagination we can establish different kind of pictures, events etc. unseen by human eyes.

Being able to create a mental image of virtually anything we want. The even crazier thing is that what we imagine, we can create, we can ultimately turn an idea, and what is a non-physical, into a physical.

Many people don’t realize they can have anything they want as long as they believe in it. You know the saying seeing is believing, try seeing what you want in your head, now that you see it, believe that you will have it, expect to have it soon and you will. It might sound a little far-fetched

The proper use of the ability God has given us, many things we can do and help people. With the help of our imagination we accomplished the things we want to do, but only limited it. With the help of our imagination we can build large Buildings and Houses with beautiful and colorful designs. Through our imagination we already get to places we want to go. And even our loved ones who have died or away from us nearer we help our imagination. The ability given to us by God we cannot be abused we must enrich and expand.

Imagination will get you everywhere.

On Moral Reasonableness

The Reasonable Philippines Cyber Crime Prevention Act.

The 10 Commandments of the Cybercrime Law of the Philippines.

1. You shall only say nice things on the Internet\
2. You cannot tell the Truth, whether joking or seriously, if it hurts someone
3. What you say can be held against you forever
4. What you like can also be held against you
5. The government now has the power to take down your Internet
6. Your Internet is required to compile evidence against you
7. You can be punished more harshly for online crimes than for real life crimes
8. You must trust the government to do the right thing in implementing the law
9. The law shall apply to all Filipinos wherever they are
10. The law doesn't really protect you

I'm not agree with this kind off law because it violating respect for freedom of expression. Some senators react from this Law like Senator Guingona, Senator says that who poses the question, who exactly is libel for the libel? Is it the person who made the statements? Anyone who reblogged or retweeted them? The website on which the comments were made? Anyone who commented in assent or even clicked ‘like’? The way the law is worded, the Filipino police could actually charge you with simply criticizing them or the government in a way they deem “malicious,” a word very much open to interpretation. .

The controversial cyber crime prevention act was suspended because of the massive amount of protest and public outrage, the Supreme Court of the Philippines has suspended the law, 15 different petitions being filed against it most controversial aspect was a libel provision that seemed to indicate that citizens could be arrested for negative comments toward the police or government leveled via Facebook, Twitter or the internet in general. The fact that the law has been suspended by the court is absolutely a win for the millions in opposition, though it’s not the final answer for them.

It’s been heartening to see the Filipino community rise up against this injustice the way they have. But there will always be a next battle, a next fight, as the struggle for control over the general population is endless, and very well-funded.
